Perfect Day

After a month of rain, lots of fog and uncomfortable humidity, Halifax finally has a perfect day. It was so nice out, I didn't even mind spending three hours in the yard this afternoon - mowing and weeding. I would have posted a picture of my haphazard garden but the kids took the digital cameras with them.

My kids came home with good report cards and next year it's on to the final year of high school for my oldest and last year of middle school for my youngest.

We went out for lunch to celebrate, a tradition we've had since each of the girls started school. And then they were off with their father and grandmother for ten days away. Giving me some nice peace and quiet to get lots of stuff done around the house and dive into my writing.

What a beautiful picture of the Public Gardens. Sigh...

Yes it was a gorgeous day. When I took my dog for a walk at 8:30 this evening, the temperature was so perfect, the light was so beautiful, the smells of everything growing was divine.

Have a good time having Anne time.

Today is going to be another nice day, too. We just got a load of garden soil delivered, so guess what we'll be doing this weekend!

Enjoy your 'me' time! :-)

I hope you have a great 10 days of me time. Friday was great...PEI was cold! Now I just need to get myself reorganized. :)

Hahaha...when I first read that I read it as 'I took a picture of my haphazard garden' and I was looking at the pix going 'day-am! I'm moving to your house!'
