Web Design

I'm loving my web design class. Last night we learned all about domain names and hosting packages. I now understand all the different parts, where I get them and what I pay for and how to upload my web page to my server.

The teacher pointed us in the direction of very reasonably priced services. I'm so excited. By the end of this class I hope to have a very snazzy author website.

However, the roads were treacherous on the ride home and I was thankful that I didn't have to go as far as some of the students driving out of the city. It's nights like last night that make me long for a nice city address - where I can just put on my boots and walk to the mall, a movie, or a restaurant. I fell in my driveway on a patch of snow-covered ice but all I got was a skinned elbow and a sore shoulder.

I'm past my cranky mood from Monday. I can be really unpleasant to be around when I'm stressed. So I did some deep breathing, gave myself a talking to and let the light flow through me.

By yesterday I was feeling much better about my Presents Entry and I sent off the first 12 pgs to my crit partners. I hope to get the rest finished tomorrow morning. Today was filled with appointments and errands. Responsibilities are a drag when all I want to do is write.

My diet and exercise program have taken a beating this week but my daughter just joined the gym so she'll guilt me into going with her. I'm going to get back on the healthy eating for the rest of the week - hopefully I'll minimize the damage of the last few days.

I spend several mornings a week at Starbucks. Yesterday I was there until almost 1pm and ended up eating their junky food because I was so hungry. I'm hoping they improve their food selection with some healthier choices soon.

Hope your elbow and shoulder feel better soon!

Your web design class sounds amazing. Even if I could learn the basics, that'd be great. Can't wait to see your website!!

Glad this week is going better. We all go through days like that. I find it's worse in the winter. Anyway, sounds like you're keeping to your goals and will be right on target. Yay!!!

I hope you are feeling 100% soon. And good for you on taking that course. I really would love to learn how to do something like that soon. I can't wait to see your site!
