Annespired

I've been working diligently on Kelly Boyce's website (just days until the unveiling) another website design using a whole different approach for my digital imaging class and trying to come up with a name for my Design business.

I mentioned before having to scrap the Etch Web Design moniker. After hours - and hours - online, I finally invented my own name. Annespired Web Design. What do you think? I have the annespired.com website and I'm able to use it to register it as business in the province. Yeah!

Now, I have the fun and challenge of creating a Web Site for it. So many choices in colours and themes and fonts.... I'm thinking about logo's and business cards and blogs. Should I go with sophisticated and classy? Or funky and fun? Subtle blues and greens? Or wilder turquoise and lime? Should I be girly or should I go more business- like and gender neutral. Believe me, I know all about gender neutral after spending years as an accountant - wearing suits and pantyhouse and low heels.

However, as you can tell from my word meter on the right, little writing has been done. My revised first chapter has been sent off to my CP's and I'm kicking my own ass in gear to get back to seriously writing. First, though, I have to call an electrician. The lights in my daughter's room are flickering and one of the outlets is warm to the touch. Neither a good sign.

You clever girl! I love play on words. What a great name for your business.

Anyway, can't wait to see the big reveal of Kelly's site. :-)

Oh, I love the new name. It's perfect!!

As for your theme, I would consider your target market and the sort of websites you want to design.

Thanks Cat. I'm really drawn to the funky, girly designs but I want to target my work to romance writers as well as mystery so I don't want to go ultra feminine. I'd also like to do some designs for local small/home businesses. I think primarily women but don't want to exclude men. Hmm - maybe I need to think about this a little more.

I love the name, too, Anne! And I especially love your word metre because mine's about the same.

Thanks Julia,

And I'm glad someone's word meter is as inactive as mine!
