I planned to paint my daughter's room on Tuesday. A one day job. Right?
This is what greeted me.

A big mess on the wall. She GLUED the poster to her wall and then RIPPED it off. I knew I had spackle here somewhere but for the life of me couldn't find it. Stores are closed - nowhere to get extra spackle.

I made her clean everything out of her room and tape off the baseboards, windows etc. - she complained the whole time. She just wanted to slap the paint on the wall and have it done. So did I. But I just couldn't paint over the mess. I managed to get the ceiling done.
Couldn't paint yesterday because I had stuff to do. All of her furniture is in the hallway and living room so I need to get it painted or drive us both insane.

This morning I spackled all the holes and torn spots. Now I'm waiting for the pink to turn to white - the sign that it's dry. Next I sand it. Who knew all the work involved in painting a little bedroom?

Ugh, you're making me feel guilty about the promise I made to my daughter 3 years ago that we'd paint her room.

Put up pictures of the finished product, won't you?

Sounds like a fun job! Good luck with the painting.
