Good Vibrations

There are very good vibes in the air around my writing friends. I can feel that this is going to be a year of good news on the publishing front. I've noticed a real dedication and commitment to writing consistently and treating it professionally. And it's contagious.

I wouldn't be surprised if we have several more published authors in our midst by the end of the year.

I'm determined to finish this Desire and get it out next week. Today was my self-imposed deadline for completing revisions but I'm still working on the last three chapters. I was discouraged yesterday when I read them over and realized how much work still had to be done. I'm thankful for my CP's comments on the first draft because they pointed me in exactly the right direction. More emotion. More emotion. More emotion. I'm going to make a poster up with those words emblazoned in big, bold letters.

Today I felt better about my story and started the revisions on Ch 10. I like the external plot in these three chapters. I just need to add more depth and characterization so the choices the characters make seem logical to the reader.

This weekend I'll be prom dress shopping with my oldest daughter. What fun.

Hi, I've seen you on Kelly's blog and thought I'd drop by and see what you're up to. I've been targeting Desire too. I sent an entry to the HP contest. I recently rediscovered HP after being a Desire addict for years. What a great opportunity they've offered us. Best of luck!

Thanks for stopping by Cat. Hoping to get an entry into the Presents contest before the deadline. Good luck with your entry.

Best wishes with the revisions. You'll know in your gut when it's right.

I'm thinking this will be a great year for our group too, and that includes you! Glad all the comments are helping.

Good luck with the prom dress shopping. It doesn't seem like so long ago that I was doing that for my prom. Scary to think it's been almost 25 years already though.

You can do it, Anne!! You can never go wrong with the more emotion side of things. I can't wait to hear what Harlequin will say.

Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed you're right Anne! It sure would be nice to add a few more pub'd authors to our ranks!
