Back to WW

I finally dragged my expanding butt back to Weight Watchers. I haven't been feeling very energetic lately and I think part of it is eating poorly and not exercising. I managed to gain six pounds since my last visit. I don't know how that happens but I must eat a lot more than I think I do. So it's back to salads and an ice cream free life.
My neice is getting married in ten weeks and I'd love to be down twenty pounds but I'd probably have to starve myself for that to happen. (Doesn't that chocolate bar she's eating look good?)
As usual, Starbucks was a challenge. I settled for a yogurt when I got hungry this morning. It would have been better if it had been low fat but I'm sure it was half the calories than one of those giant muffins I usually eat.
I've gotten to the point where I don't write very well at home anymore. It's almost like I've trained myself only to write at Starbucks. I wrote about four pages - not great but better than earlier in the week. I had to go back to writing the first draft of the scene by hand - it's rough but at least I'm making some forward process.
I'd love to work on my RS this summer so I can have something for the KOD retreat in Oct. Lisa Gardner is one of the speakers and her agent Meg Ruley is attending. Meg is also mystery writer Julie Spencer-Flemming's agent. I don't know if I want to revise my NaNo book Shattered or plunge into this series mystery idea I've been interested in writing for the past two years.

As a matter of fact, that chocolate bar she's eating looks awfully good...

WW has a great program and I keep saying I'm going to join. I've had success in the past with it so I don't know why I'm dragging my heels on it. Anyway, you might see me at one of the meetings yet.

Also, Curves has a fit study going on. $30 for 30 days. I signed up and if I like it, I'll probably join. If you're interested, you just need to call up and make an appointment.

I don't think I've heard your other idea but I really like your Shattered story.

I need to get blogging again. Going to aim for 2-3 times a week. I've been pathetic with it.

Annette, I have to be in the mood to spend the time and effort on WW. I find I have to plan everything out, make sure I have the right stuff in the house. It also takes longer to cook everything because you can't just shove something easy in your mouth.

I belong to Nubody's so I think my weight/food expenditures are pretty well covered. I did see the sign about the 30 day Curves and thought it sounded good. Good Luck with it.

I hear ya on the WW. I went back to counting the points and working out after the scale started creeping up again. Argh. After all that hard work to drop the pounds they always come back so easily. It's just not fair.
