Out of Touch

Just arrived home from four days in Bangor and Freeport with my daughters and my Mom. It was fun. I spent too much and ate too much. But what are vacations for?

It's the first time I've tried to travel that much in such a short amount of time. We could have used another couple of days.

One nice thing was being away from the news, internet, papers, etc. It was relaxing not being bombarded with the problems in the world. Makes me wonder why I feel so compelled to get my news twenty-four hours a day. Do I think the world is going to come to an end and I'm not going to know about it?

I did plot out a new Desire in my head during all that driving time so I'm ready to buckle down and get some of these ideas into stories. I plan to finish up Front Page Affair and enter the online Desire pitch.

Welcome back. Vacations are always good for clearing your head. Congrats on the new Desire idea. Don't you wish you could write them as fast as you come up with them? I know I do.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. And that's great about the new story idea. Good luck with the contest!
