Front Page Affair - Story Board

I like the Story Board method so much I decided to do one for my current MS. It helped me plot through the middle of the book and see some potential problems. Kelly purchased a larger board so she could fit more on it. That's a good idea, mine is very crowded.

It also seems like a useful tool for revisions. If I get a request for the full from the proposal I sent to Desire, I'll use the Story Board to revise the rest of the book.

Still no returned postcard and it's been 6 weeks, I'm wondering if it even arrived. Or is the envelope sitting in a pile in the mail room, unopened?

Working on typing my last couple of handwritten chapters into the computer this week. Lots of reworking and revising because they were very rough. And I've made some changes from when I started so the book is a bit disjointed and all over the place. Might be time to go back and revise a little of the beginning of the story once I've got these chapters completed.

I hate waiting on them to read the submission. I was dying for over a year waiting for EC, but the good news eventually came. :) I'm sure it will for you too.

I really need to try the story boarding out...

Try not to let the image of your submission take up any space in your mind. Fill it with your current story and the mental momentum will nudge your MS onto the editor's desk.

I'm really interested in taking that storyboarding class now. Maybe next session.

I hate waiting for things so I'm sure it's tough. But hang in there -- it is summer so maybe they are short-staffed or on vacation. Hope you hear good news soon!! :-)
